Did you Know?
As established by the FDA, to be labeled yogurt, a product must be made using approved dairy ingredients and a bacterial culture. The National Yogurt Association (NYA) extended this definiton to say, in order to carry their seal, a yogurt must contain a minimum amount of cultures per gram when manufactured. This amount is set at 100 million. These bacteria, when live and active, are known to have positive effects on digestion.
